My story about teaching in Beijing kicks off this new collection of short memoir.  Unsavory Elements includes new work by my friends Peter Hessler, Alan Paul and Michael Meyer, along with Deb Fallows, Mark Kitto, and more.  It’s not on shelves yet, but the book was launched at the Shanghai Literary Festival at M on the Bund.
