New Barns and Noble Discovery Awards

Congratulations to the 2012 crop of B&N Discovery Award winners!  I was very happy to see Cheryl Strayed take first place in the non-fiction category for her wonderful memoir, Wild.  Second place went to a book I used in my 9th grade history class this year, Katherine Boo’s Behind the Beautiful Forevers.  I’m so humbled to have Kosher Chinese in the company of books this stunning, this raw, this honest, and this compelling.
