Michael Levy is the author of Kosher Chinese: Living, Teaching, and Eating with China’s Other Billion, a memoir about his experiences as a Peace Corps Volunteer in western China. The book met with much critical acclaim and was the recipient of the 2012 Barnes and Noble DISCOVER award, given for the best book of the year written by a young author. Mike is currently living in Beijing, helping Avenues: the World School open its first campus in China. Once the school opens, he will be the head of the high school.
While in the United States, Mike does his best to keep kosher. While in China, he eats anything with four legs except the table.
